Travel Channel HD has secured carriage on UPC DTH’s platforms in Central and Eastern Europe.
Starting May 1, it will be made available on UPC Direct in Hungary, freeSAT in the Czech Republic and Slovakia and Focus Sat in Romania.
As a result, UPC Hungary will further extend its HD leadership position in the country, taking the number of channels it offers in the format to 11.
Meanwhile in Romania, Focus Sat will remain the leading provider of HD channels in the DTH sector, offering a total of 10 in the format.
Commenting on the launch, Magnus Ternsjö, MD of UPC DTH, said:
