RCS&RDS is reported to be in talks to sell its DTH operation in the Czech Republic.
Quoting a source in the communications market, ZF says that the Romanian company has already signed a pre-contract with Lama Group, a holding company in the energy and communications market controlled by the entrepreneur Petr Lamach and with a turnover of €580m in 2013.
However, it is still unclear whether a sale would include the Czech TV sports channel operated by RCS&RDS.
RCS&RDS is the leading cable and DTH operator in Romania and has until recently had pay-TV interests in a number of other CEE markets.
While it has already withdrawn from Croatia and Slovakia, it still maintains a strong presence in Hungary.
