French channel tests 4K
France’s NRJ Hits has begun a 4K trial on the TNTparisienne network.
Local reports say it is being undertaken in accordance with authorisation granted by the regulator CSA to TDF to broadcast using the DVB-T2 standard from the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
This is the first time that a French network has undertaken such a trial using the entire distribution chain.
NRJ Hits, which is the leading French music channel and distributed on ADSL (Freebox TV), cable and satellite, is undertaking the trial employing solutions provided by OBV.TV, Envivio and Orad.
